Marcia's Movie Awards

This is a different type of film festival because we have top prizes for the 4 top winners. As a filmmaker with 6 films (2 distributed with Freestyle), I understand how great films don’t always get selected by film festivals. I have submitted to Film Freeway 294 times with 84 selections for my films.
I direct, write, produce and act in my films. Because I have been so frustrated by my films not getting into film festivals, I decided to develop a film festival where I personally watch the films and select them.

How to Submit

Please visit Film Freeway to submit your film. Please know your film will be viewed and considered for this new film festival MARCIA’S MOVIE AWARDS, and I hope awarded. When you submit, you become a part of a filmmaker community truly trying to promote great films.

Prizes

I live between Lake Tahoe and Hawaii and I dream of a festival at a theater where independent filmmakers can meet. Currently, we are an online festival. In the future, we hope to make Lake Tahoe a destination for great film festivals like Sundance did for Park City.

The top 4 filmmakers will be flown to Lake Tahoe and presented with their award at a spectacular awards dinner. The grand prize is a trip to Waikiki Beach, Hawaii.

Memoir Class

Because the filmmaking business is so difficult, I wrote my memoir called ESCAPING THE HOLLYWOOD BARDO, which is on Amazon and Audible. Now, I am teaching a memoir class to help people transcend any difficulties in their lives by writing their life story.
